No matter how small or large your organisation or group is, if it involves volunteers then we will be able to help you. Registration with our Centre is open to all different types of organisations. Whether you are based in the public sector or the voluntary sector, if you are a small community group or a private company, we will work with you to promote volunteering in Newcastle. Hundreds of different groups have signed up with us, ranging from hospitals to local council departments, nationally known voluntary organisations, small community groups with no paid staff, and even private businesses wanting to facilitate volunteering for their employees. Most of Volunteer Centre Newcastle's support and services are completely free of charge and we are always willing to help with any aspect of volunteering development. We may occasionally charge a small fee for training sessions to cover the cost of hiring an external trainer. Registering with us offers many benefits: - we can offer you information, advice and support on volunteering issues. - access to resources such as good practice guides on the restricted part of our website. - we will work with you to develop best practice in managing and supporting volunteers. - we can help you develop and promote new volunteering roles within your organisation. - we will offer you the chance to meet other Volunteer Managers/Co-ordinators so you can exchange ideas and information. - we will keep you informed of volunteering news in the City, in the region and nationally. - we will signpost you to specialist volunteering training. Registration is FREE and we do not charge for any of our core services. There may occasionally be a fee for any external training that we might arrange. All the services we provide to potential volunteers are completely free of charge.
