Volunteer Management Information Guides
This page will include information resources and weblinks to information relating to volunteer management. Volunteer Centre Newcastle recognises that there is a huge diversity of volunteer involving organisations with many different roles, and that 'one size does not fit all'.
Each organisation has their own setup and ways of working, so the policies we promote on this section of our website will need to be tailored to meet the requirements of your organsisation. These resources are under development - we will be adding new items over the next few weeks. Look out for information on: - General Volunteer Policies and Agreements - Diversity of volunteers New ISA guidance document The ISA have just published the full guidance for the Vetting and Barring Scheme. This document contains details on: - The scope of the Scheme. - Barring arrangements - Responsibilities and duties for both employers and volunteer organisers, and the duties for those individuals you take on. - Timescales for the phased implementation of the Scheme Explanation of transitional arrangements around Scheme introduction. In response to the overwhelming interest in the subject, the guidance makes special mention of those areas where the Scheme does not apply and discusses the points raised by Sir Roger Singleton when he reported into the boundaries of the Scheme in December 2009.
