Jesmond Dene Rangers

The Jesmond Dene Volunteer group was established over 6 years ago by the Jesmond Dene Rangers. The group has carried out numerous tasks from litter picking to river cleaning to pond digging and everything in between! After a very successful lottery funded project to improve access to and information about the Old Mill in Jesmond Dene, they are now working on their second Heritage Lottery funded project.

As part of Volunteer week we are having a Volunteer Day on Fri 5th June. The morning session, 10 -12, will be a drop in session where poeple can come along to find out what the Volunteers have done, are doing and will be doing in the future. The afternoon session, 1 - 3pm, will be a Volunteers taster session. Those that are interested could spend a few hours doing some practical work and hopefully a few may join our regular group.
