Meet the team: Adam
Hello, I’m Adam. I have been involved in a variety of different roles in the voluntary and community sector in recent years, both as a paid worker and as a volunteer. I have found volunteering a very positive experience in my life and in 2006 I opted to go part time to allow me more free time to volunteer. I work to promote volunteering in Newcastle by assisting in the delivery of the six core functions (or main activities) of the Centre. I enjoy my work and find it really rewarding advising and informing people on how they might get involved in volunteering. One of my responsibilities at the Centre is to develop this website (along with a CSV Virtual Volunteer) where we will aim to provide relevant and easy to use information for volunteers and organisations. We also maintain a computerised database of volunteering opportunities within Newcastle which forms part of the information on the National Database of volunteering - www.do-it.org.uk.
